Green boards with bevilled edges and embossed lines; the front one has a pale blob of 1cm diameter, the four front corners abraded. The spine, lettered in gilt, is frayed to a depth of 3mm along the top and has a 4cm tear in the surface cloth near its base, without loss. Internally original brown endpapers unsullied and uncracked. Two letters from 1906 enclosed; the first from a Roger Esq, running to two sides, enquiring about a Speed map and whether the Mayor had authority to hang a man. The reply from the author (four sides) also discusses maps and the laws of England. Contents of book clean and tight; pp 535. Heavy book for sale in UK only. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
