About this Item

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. First edition, first printing published by Harmony Books in 1979. A fine copy in a near fine jacket which has just a touch of toning to a sliver of the top edge of the jacket. Signed by the author on the title page. Book appears unread.

Don't Panic ! This froody copy includes a 1981 press kit from the NPR playhouse broadcast. The press kit has several summaries of the series, detailed breakdowns of each episode as well as the air dates and times for each episode.

Most interestingly, a brief biography of Adams including a paragraph about the inspiration for the original story. The press kits also features hand written notes, a mention of the book being published by Harmony Books and a wonderful photograph of Douglas Adams with the cast of the original BBC radio production.

Included with this scarce book are parts one and two of the radio production on vinyl. The perfect gift for any Douglas Adams aficionado.
