SIGNED. 275pp. Octavo [24 cm] 1/2 brown cloth over sepia boards. The rear cover is just a hair warped. Housed in a tan Buffalo Medicine slipcase with a gilt stamped cow skull on the front panel. The slipcase is just a little rubbed at the extremities. The fourteenth in the Leaphorn and Chee series. Signed by Hillerman, with the date, "11/9/99," on the title page. Contains an original Ernest Franklin illustration in full color on the half-title, signed at the foot. Illustration is of "Ute Mountain Casino." The Hillerman/Franklin limited editions produced by Buffalo Medicine Press were done in small numbers and every book has a different original piece of artwork drawn or water-colored into the book itself.
