One of 133 copies (this 33) Signed presentation from the author 'to His Ex Oddship Bro Charles Wyman.' Wyman was the printer to the Sette at the time. Ye Sette of Odd Volumes was a London-based eccentric, scholarly dining club. It was formed in 1878 by Bernard Quaritch, and functioned continuously until around 1940. Members were notable men with a wide range of interests and each gathering was addressed by a member on some, usually arcane, subject.Each member had a club name ÔChroniclerÕ SalopianÕ ÕHorologerÕÕExaggerator Õetc., Brown was known as 'Alchymist.' Faint soilingto white covers otherwise VG or better.
