A collection of twenty-four essays by the Irish poet, critic, editor, artist, mystic, and Irish nationalist. This is a Very Good copy of the First American Edition, with an interesting ASSOCIATIONS, inscribed and signed on the FFEP by John Quinn to Basante Kumar Roy and dated February 1916. A.E. dedicated this volume to Quinn (1870-1924), who was a noted American art collector and patron of the famous 1913 Armory Show. Basante Kumar Roy was an Indian nationalist who worked in America as a journalist; he had connections with Irish nationalists through the "Friends of Freedom for India." Blue cloth binding, ruled and titled in gilt on the front cover; titling in gilt on the spine. Clean text; xi, 255 pages, rough-cut. Light wear around the margins; spine very slightly faded. The front gutter has cracked, but is holding. Toning to the endpapers. In an archival plastic protector. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Seller Inventory # 006012
