Item description from seller

8vo. Pp. 245, [2]. Bound in orange-red half-cloth over black paper-covered boards on which Warhol illustration is blindstamped, gilt lettering stamped on spine. Light wear to extremities. In the illustrated dust jacket that shows edge-wear, especially at head and tail of spine. Price of $3.50 remains intact on the front flap. Inscribed on the front free endpaper "For Lew Gillerson / [signed] Walter Ross / 3/21/58". Laid in is a a printed form in which the author had printed "To My Favorite:AcquaintanceAccountantAgentBankerand so on, listing other occupations. In this instance, Ross added by hand "Editor," wrote the name "Lew Gillerson," and then signed with his initials. A novel of juvenile delinquency for which Warhol drew the titular dust jacket juvie popping up his collar, natch. Stylistically, he used the rough pen-and-ink mode seen in his shoe drawings. Dust jacket is now preserved in a removable, clear archival sleeve.
