29 pp + double-page plate of floor plan + 2 plates (both numbered IX). Page 1 soiled and stained. Ink note on p. 1. Good. First Edition. SIGNED BY HARVEY CUSHING to Dr. G. N. Stewart: "Prof. G. N. Steward [sic]/ with the regards/ of Harvey Cushing." Cushing Bibliography no. 74: "An address before the Yale Medical Alumni Association at New Haven, February 23, 1906." Printed simultaneously in the Yale Medical Journal. The recipient of the offprint was George Neil Stewart (not Steward, as HC wrote). He was the first director of the H. K. Cushing Laboratory of Experimental Medicine at Western Reserve in Cleveland. Fulton discusses Cushing's attendance at the dedication in 1908 of this laboratory, which was named after Cushing's father. William Henry Welch gave the principal address at the dedication.
