Chips, nicks and creases long upper front and back edge and top of spine, small nicks at bottom of spine and front lower edge, small numbers written on inside front flap, bumps, edge and shelf wear. Inscribed "To Mrs. Julia Wells from Jack Gidley March 1968" in blue ink on half-title page. Letter enclosed from Gidley to Mrs. Wells explaining that her brother, Ed. M. Wells, helped him write the book. From the flap, "Focussing on a vital situation near the Mexican border in the days prior to World War II, A.J. Gidley reveals how he became involved in a duel between German and American Intelligence over a German sympathizer in Texxas -- with far-reaching and intriguing consequences." Protected by Brodart.
