First Impression. Octavo (20.25cm); original pictorial wrappers with French flaps; [6],7-61,[3]pp. Inscribed by the author on the verso of the preliminary blank to Puerto Rican poet and author Iris M. Zavala (1936-2020): "A Iris: Con el placer de haberle conversado / Francisco Arriví." Light wear to extremities, some dust-soil to wrappers, with gentle sunning to spine; contents clean; Very Good+. Well-preserved copy of this early collection of verse by Arriví (1915-2007), a Puerto Rican poet and playwright known as "The Father of Puerto Rican Theater." A nice association between two prominent Puerto Rican poets. Uncommon in commerce. 87682.
