SUSAN LOWELL is a fourth generation Arizonan, descended from a long line of prospectors, explorers, ranchers, farmers, and schoolmarms. She began writing as a child and has never stopped since. Susan says, "I do not believe that anything I can do in life is more important than encouraging children to read." Today she is the author of many wonderful books for children and adults, including The Three Little Javelinas published by Rising Moon.
BRUCE MACPHERSON has been sharpening pencils and bleeding markers dry since before the millennium. He has done many illustrations for magazines, newspapers, and games, but this is his first kid’s book. Bruce agrees with Josefina that it’s always good to "do something new." He lives in Vienna, Virginia, outside of D.C., with his wife and three big kids.
