Inscribed First Edition, First Printing of this quirky and uncommon entry in the cannon of Camelot - era (the 1961 Washington version) literature. Washington D.C. dressmaker Mini Rhea presents a detailed portrait of the tastes and character of newly minted First Lady of the United States, Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy. Rhea worked extensively with Jacqueline Kennedy in her pre White House years in Washington and strives to answer, in 334 pages, the burning question: "What was Jacqueline Kennedy really like in those sensitive years when she met and was courted by the man who became President of the United States?" Only her dressmaker knows! Inscribed by Mini Rhea to a previous owner on the front endpaper. 334 pages, illustrated (chiefly by cheesy drawings of Jackie Kennedy and her period attire.) The book has a bit of offset paper on the back cover. The dust jacket has a chip at the bottom of the back cover and heavy fading on the spine.
