About this Item

1935 first edition signed and inscribed by the author AND with the rare dust jacket. The inscription reads: "To George Hobson, a most genial and friendly colleague, from Gilbert McAllister, April 1935, Wishaw". Maxton was a colourful and popular MP. 272-page text in good, tight condition, with minor light foxing around the edges of the textblock. Binding in very good+, tight, clean condition. Dust jacket near very good, with a little neat restoration of edge wear and minor foxing. Weight 461g. See photographs attached. (H).
