Along with the authors penned notation regarding the actor displayed in the frontis-piece titled A Puppet - "No ! No! No! Its an actor - and I hate him - but not so much as to call him a "puppet" mechanical though he be !!!" An additional notation by the author on the back of one of the plates "This is Omego, No puppet he."Also includes the author's wife's inscription on the back of the dust jacket "Santha Rama Rau, a writer. xxi, [5], 294pp, bound in tan cloth, illustrated endpapers, binding tight, back hinge cracked, illustrated throughout with photographic plates and drawings, complete with all 19 illustrations, as called for.
