First edition/printing. Book is in Near Fine condition only because of age tanning while the jacket is in nice Very Good Plus condition with tanning and some spotting. Inscribed by the editor Evans on FFE along with a laid in typed poem (unsigned) by Evans. A sharp copy of a tough book and earlier critical study of Verne that is rarely found signed thus! Evans went on to edit The Fitzroy Edition of Jules Verne for Hanison/Arco/Associated Booksellers (60+ titles). Nice collectible for a Verne library.
