Signed First Edition, First Printing of this lively social and cultural history of the Kentucky River region. A volume in the publisher's famed "Rivers of America" series. Signed and dated (Feb. 1942) by Thomas Clark on the half title page. Green cloth, 431 pages, illustrated. A nice copy. The book has a bit of tanning of the page edges. The dust jacket has a bit of edge wear and a bit of foxing on the back cover. Minimal sign of previous use.
