Dark green paper quarter bound in navy blue cloth with bronze lettering on spine. Dampstain to tail of spine that left tidemark on first 100 or so pages; mild soiling; minor rubbing and bumping to edges. Navy blue illustrated dust jacket with light blue and green lettering on cover and spine. Jacket is wrapped in mylar and is not price clipped. Some staining to inside of jacket, not noticeable on front; minor creasing and wear to edges. Binding is tight. Aside from tidemark, interior is clean. Maps on endpapers. Peter Matthiessen (1927-2014) was an acclaimed novelist, wilderness writer, and environmental activist. This novel, the first entry in Matthiessen s Watson trilogy, is based on the life of Edgar J.
