About this Item

Stated First Edition. The book is bound and cream, colored paper over boards with a title and author and teal on the front cover and spine. Cover edges are tanned.Light wear on the corners and spine caps. Inscribed by the author on the first free end paper and dated July 22, 1956. Small area of foxing on two leaves. Otherwise pages are clean tight and unmarked. The dust jacket is in good condition with soiling/tanning on the spine panel and small tears on the bottom of the spine panel and bottom corners of the front and back panels. The original price is on the front flap. The author was a Harvard educated screenwriter, and transition to children?s books after retirement. Please see all images.

Operating through a retail outlet located at 200 Maine St. in Brunswick and through its on-line sales activities, Curtis Friends operates only with volunteers from the local community and sells only those books donated by its constituents. Curtis Friends has been in existence for several decades.
