About this Item

Second Series, Volume 2 of the Morning Star Folio series published in July 1991. Large poster design (measuring 445mm x 640mm) which is folded x4 to fit inside a C5 size envelope. Printed by the Lutton Press, Edinburgh on fawn paper with brown lettering in a limited edition of 350 copies. This is copy #194 and is initialed by the editor (Alec Finlay) on the colophon. The poster contains seven poems by Kurt Schwitters, translated into English by Jerome Rothenburg and Pierre Joris. These poems were typeset by Peter Knee, Merrow, Surrey. In addition to the poems this two sided Folio contains a musical score for Country Life. The text is a translation by Christopher Fox of Dorf from Anna Blume und Ich by Kurt Schwitters (Geneva, 1988). Christopher Fox also composed the music. The MerzFolio poster is in fine condition. The printed outer envelope has a tiny crease to one corner, otherwise also in fine condition. Seller Inventory # 013145
