A unique copy, there are two signatures of the author, done on the same day: 1) on the title page thiere is a very small ink stamp "Nat Foster Lodge Adirondacks, P. O. Atwell N.Y." plus his signature "A.L. Byron-Curtiss Sept 1, 1935," 2) laid in is a 3" x 6 1/2" local newspaper reprint dated July 25, 1935 of a poem dedicated to the Nat Foster Lodge, which on the back he wrote "Dr. Bowen--Congratulations on your birthday A. L. B-C Sept 1st '35." The Nat Foster Lodge was Byron-Curtiss' camp on North Lake in Atwell, N.Y., on the southern edge of the Adirondacks, and where Byron-Curtiss--a minister by profession--spent much of his free time and later years emulating the backwoods life of Nat Foster, and was widely known to the locals as the "Bishop of North Lake." Dr. Bowen's small bookplate is on the inside of the front board, his name (George C. Bowen) mostly crossed out. Very good condition. Seller Inventory # 023513
