A collection of poems first appearing in publications such as The Saturday Review of Literature and the Saturday Evening Post (See "The Usual Remarks" following copyright page). IN ADDITION TIPPED IN BETWEEN THE fep AND ffep IS A TIPPED IN PRESENTATION/SIGNATURE SLIP WHICH STATES: ("For Marshall Anspach with all best wishes Ted Robinson December, 1945").Included with the book is a loosely inserted letter on the stationary of "The Rowfant Club" dated December 5th, 1945. It basically states that the author was a former well-loved president of the club. It goes on to stated that the recipient should look it over and if he does decide to keep it to please send the rather high price of $7.00, due, of course, to the small edition and present day murderous printer's costs. The letter was sent from a Mr. Noel Lawson Lewis (1876-1950 and was made the permanent Secretary/Treasurer of the club in 1924). Note: a tiny newspaper clipping included which states the author died sep. 30th 1946.barely 9 months later at the age of 67. Great book with added ephemera and provenance.
