Autobiography that immerses the reader in the glamorous world of Edwardian musical theatre, with 76 evocative b/w photographs. Foreword by Beverley Nichols who signs his greetings to ffep. Also signed: With love to Bessie Finch [?] from her old friend Ellaline Terriss Sep 1959. A third inscription to the ffep has been scored out. A further dedication on a later prelim reads: To my Betty with loving gratitude. This is in Ellaline's handwriting but I believe this to be printed. (Betty was the daughter of Terriss and husband Seymour Hicks.) Sage green cloth handled, and bumped at spine ends. Binding sound. Internally clean - apart from the several inscriptions! All profits to Amnesty International. Size: 16cm - 23.5cm with 296pp.
