The Mishna is the systematic collection of religious-legal decisions developing the laws of the Old Testament; together with the Gemara, which contains supplementary material (legal and otherwise), it comprises the Talmud, the great book of Jewish Law. The Mishna is a more or less careful arrangement of the extant Oral Law, and forms the foundation of the Gemama. This is an especially pleasing and useful presentation of the Talmud and the great teachings imbedded in it. The artwork, printing, paper and binding are all very handsome indeed.
