Last Orders, Graham Swift, Picador, 1996, Signed First Edition, Second Impression with 1st State Dust Jacket Winner of the 1996 Booker Prize, this story, told in flashbacks, tells the convoluted tale of the relationships between a group of war veterans who live in the same corner of London and who are undertaking a journey to scatter the ashes of one of their friends in the sea in accord with his last wishes. A First Edition, Second Impression in very good condition. The binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the lettering on the spine bright. There are three indentations to the edge of the spine and slight shelf wear to the top edge of the spine. The end papers and pages are free from inscriptions. There is a scuff mark to the front end papers and very slight foxing to the fore edge. The title page has been signed by the author without personal dedication. The unclipped First State dust jacket (without the Booker Prize addition), protected in a clear, removable cover is in near fine condition with a small crease to the top edge of the back cover. Will be dispatched wrapped in bubblewrap and in a cardboard box. Seller Inventory # 02182
