Hardback. 384pp. Signed and inscribed by J. I. M. Stewart. Signed to the title page and also inscribed to the endpapers "Inscribed for W. Tomsett by the author J. I. L. Stewart, Oxford 1963. also W. O. Tomsett's bookplate to endpaper with coats of arms of Nigeria and Sierra Leone to front endpaper. J. I M. Stewart is best known as Michael Innes, crime writer. This novel is one of his non-crime fiction. Blue boards are slightly faded to spine and with some minor maks and discolouration to boards. Front hinge cracked but still stable. Binding is otherwise sound. Text is clean. Good copy.
