First edition, 8vo, [11] 778pp. Full brown morocco with gilt lettering and border on upper and lower boards and spine. Page edges gilt, marbled endpapers, binder's ticket of W. H. Kistler and Co., Denver, to front pastedown. Very good with rubbing to edges and corners, mainly at spine ends. Clean and tight internally. This copy presented by the City of Denver to Thomas Nicholl, as evidenced by the gilt dedication on the front board. At the time of publication, Nicholl was a member of the Denver Board of Supervisors and later served as County Comissioner. He was also a Grand High Priest in the Grand Chapter of Colorado Freemasons. This copy bears a presentation inscription from Nicholl to E. F. Hallack mfg. co. on the front fly leaf. An interesting association copy of this resource of Denver history at an important time of growth for the city.
