Book itself is like new with only a small black smudge along page ends about the size of a pea (not a remainder mark, see posted photos). Signed in blue ink on dedication page by author with a brief inscription that reads, "To Anne T. Morris, with best wishes Jesse J. Cornplanter". Bright red lettering on cover and spine over cream cloth. Has red topstain. Dust jacket is in very good condition. Coloring still bright. Has light shelf wear with a few small nicks and tears along top edges. Overall a very nice copy. A rare find of this Native American classic in this condition with the original dust jacket. No writing, highlighting, underlining, dog ears, etc. Pages and boards crisp and straight. Spine un-broken with no spine lean.
