X, 212 Pp. Black Cloth Stamped In Red, Red Topstain. First Edition (Stated). Some Wear, All Lettering Strong. Dj Price Clipped, Some Wear, Two Tears To Front Panel Repaired. Inscribed By Harvey Firestone On The Half Title, With His November 1934 Letter Transmitting The Book To The Recipient. There Is Some Wrinkling To Title Page From Adhesive Used To Tip In The Letter On The Copyright Page. Also With A Loose Card From Mrs. Firestone Acknowledging The Recipient's Sympathy At The Death Of Her Husband, With The Mailing Envelope Dated March 11, 1938. Harvey From Wikipedia: Samuel Firestone Sr. (1868 – 1938) Was An American Businessman, And The Founder Of The Firestone Tire And Rubber Company, One Of The First Global Makers Of Automobile Tires. Firestone, Henry Ford, And Thomas Edison Were Generally Considered The Three Leaders In American Industry At The Time, And Often Worked And Vacationed Together, Calling Themselves The Vagabonds, Along With Naturalist John Burroughs And, Sometimes, President Herbert Hoover. Harbel Is A Town In Margibi County, Liberia. It Lies Along The Farmington River, About 15 Miles Upstream From The Atlantic Ocean. It Was Named For The Founder Of The Firestone Tire & Rubber Company, Harvey S. Firestone, And His Wife, Idabelle. Since 1926, Harbel Has Been Home To A Massive Natural Rubber Plantation Which Is Still Operated By The Firestone Subsidiary Of Bridgestone.
