The book is signed on opening paste down in black period ink handwriting by Edward Totteham. Signature repeated top edge of title page. This book formed part of the Tottenham Library which was purchased by general subscription as a Testimonial to the memory of the late Rev. Edward Tottenham BD to be held in perpetual trust for the public benefit of the City of Bath. Dated December 1853. This is printed on a period label on the opening paste down. The following page has a period Bath Guildhall label stating Tottenham Collection 152. Condition: Wear top and bottom of spine. Bottom spine period Guildhall label 6-5. General age mottling front and back. Slight rub on corners. o/p paste down period annotation top edge. Age discolouration on e/ps. Internally clean, little wear, binding firm, . GC.
