M.R.M. Parrott’s novella, To Lie Within the Moment, is set on the Gulf Coast of Alabama, and tells the delicious story of how a man and two women form a triangle of emotion, creativity, and sexuality, while describing how everything changes for them after a shocking suicide. This philosophical, psychological, poetic, ultra-sexy beach read took M.R.M. Parrott six years to develop, then he wrote it by hand during the Summer of 1997 with very little revision. The style of the book breaks conventions, and compresses literary voices and scenes to weave together elements of narrative, poetry, purple prose, and erotica. Although it was his sixth completed book at age 31 in 1998, the novella was M.R.M. Parrott's first publishing project initializing his imprint, rimric press.
