Book in very good condition, in a similar price clipped dust jacket. The book has minor bumping to the spine ends. The dust jacket shows just a little general shelf wear, with one very minute closed tear to the top of the front cover. A lovely, tight copy overall. (See pictures).
The book is inscribed by the author to the front endpaper: "Jerrold from AL". It is also signed by the author ("AL Rowse") to the title page.
Included with the book is a letter written by the author to Jerry, on a letterhead from the Hotel Inter Continental New York, dated 20th June 1991. It relates to the much celebrated British composer Edward Elgar but also references Ralph Vaughan Williams and C. S. Lewis. Seller Inventory # ABE-1778009683605
