First volume inscribed by the author, 'W. Percival Westell With the good wishes of the author Lytton. May 1920'. Pasted in to front board inner and front flyleaf are newspaper cutting of Lord Lytton. Red cloth covers with gilt armorial plate to front & gilt lettering to spine. The plate showing a portrait of Edward Bulwer opposite title to vol.1 has foxing but otherwise very clean inside. Pencil notes to rear board inner of vol.1. Provided with acetate protective covers.

We have had significant good publicity in recent years and we were judged one of Britain's top 50 bookshops by The Independent newspaper in 2008 "An absolutely fabulous bookshop". Our shop was chosen by Kudos Productions in 2008 for location filming of two episodes of the BBC's award-winning spy series "Spooks" and features in one of ITV's 2010 episodes of "House Guest".
