In the publisher's scarce dust jacket, retail price on front flap, chip to spine, paired with this copy. Complete with seven full page photographs. This copy is inscribed on the front free endpaper: "To my friend + my grandson's friend, Prof. Edward Caldwell Moore, with sincere regards of Henry Morgenthau. June 13 / 29." The recipient of this book, Rev. Dr. Edward Caldwell Moore was a prolific author and Professor of Theology at Harvard University. Henry Morgenthau, Sr. served as the United States Ambassador to the Ottoman Empire during World War I. This work by Morgenthau is the definitive account of the Armenian Genocide during the last years of the Ottoman Empire. Ambassador Morgenthau would pass away in 1946. His son, Henry Morgenthau Jr. would serve as the Secretary of the Treasury for President Franklin D. Roosevelt. His grandson, Robert M.
