Jacket is now protected by mylar jacket cover. Signed (actually initialed ["JR / D"]) in medium thick black felt tip pen on the title page beneath her printed name; on the facing page (the back of the half title page) at the top near the spine she has added the date and the location ( "7/30/2025 St Louis"), all done in my presence at Left Bank Books in the central west end of Saint Louis, MO. This event, with 10 people in the audience, was held one day after the book was released.

About the Author

J.R. Dawson (she/they) is the Golden Crown award-winning author of The First Bright Thing. Her shorter works can be found in places such as F&SF, Lightspeed, and Rich Horton's Year's Best. Dawson currently lives in Minnesota with her loving wife. She teaches at Drexel University's MFA program for Creative Writing, and fills her free time with keeping her three chaotic dogs out of trouble.
