Octavo. Dark tan/yellow boards with black lettering on spine, cream dust jacket with red lettering. Signed and inscribed at Kenyon College on ffep and dated July 29, 1949. Residue from where photo was tipped in on reverse of ffep (photo now laid in, see below), head and tail of spine worn and mildly crushed, small mark on top edge of text block, pages mildly toned. Jacket is sunned, notably on top edge and spine and has edge wear and chipping on head/tail of spine and top edge. Original late 1940s matte silver halide paper photograph of author in a glassine envelope laid in. Binding tight, text clean and unmarked.
