First Edition with Number Line to 1. Signed and inscribed by the author, Sam Pickering, on the title page. The inscription is befitting the playfully provocative personality of the man who was the inspiration for the character of Mr. Keating, played by Robin Williams in the film Dead Poets Society. This book was purchased by me in Storrs-Mansfield where Mr. Pickering resides. Both the book and the dust jacket are in excellent condition. I've rated them each Near Fine. The book suffers No soiling, no markings, no creases and no writing/underlining on any page. The dust jacket is Not price-clipped. There's no soiling on it, no markings, no tears. There are a few tiny scratches on the middle edge. The dust jacket will be fitted with a protective cover. Take a look at the photographs I've provided. See what you think. About the Author:

SAM PICKERING is a professor of English at the University of Connecticut. He has written eight other essay collections, including A Continuing Education and The Right Distance (Georgia). He lives in Storrs, Connecticut.

As regards international shipping, the first class or standard rates I charge are based on a package weight between 2 and 3 pounds. If the book is on the thin side there is a possibility that I can securely pack it up under 2 pounds in weight. If so, the shipping price will drop by around $11.00 or $12.00 to $26.00-27.00. Canada, which is less expensive drops to $18.00. You can contact me before purchasing a book for an estimate on the shipping cost.
