Large Quarto size (4to). in cream linen backed decorative paper covered boards with black leather panelled gilt lettering to spine (only a few copies of this more expensive variant binding were made by the publishers). 134pp, full page plates in colour and b/w, line illustrations in text, all by William Gaunt. Elegantly inscribed, 'My period ! With best wishes to Henric Unger', signed and dated in ink by Gaunt on the front blank fly-leaf. Books inscribed or signed by Gaunt are uncommon CONDITION: A well preserved VERY GOOD+ copy (small spot of wear to cover corner tips, spine a little dusty, page-block edges slightly tanned) ] __NOTE.
