About the Authors

Grace Paley was a cooperative anarchist and combative pacifist. She has taught at Columbia University, Syracuse University, City College and Sarah Lawrence College. In 1989, she was named the first official New York State Writer. Her many publications include Later the Same Day, Enormous Changes at the Last Minute, The Little Disturbances of Man, and Leaning Forward.Vera B. Williams is the award-winning creator of many books for children, including ""More, More, More," Said the Baby: Three Love Stories" and "Amber Was Brave, Essie Was Smart". She lives in New York City.
