About this Item

Autobiography of the famous comedian, in a relatively poor state (see later) but with a pen self portrait and insc on the browned fep that is slightly more detailed than other examples. Blue boards have rubbed edges, stains and marks. Spine is sunned, crinkled, turned and worn at ends. Eps browned, prelim aged so that it shows a negative impression of his self portrait. Hinge coming adrift at the frontis photo. Contents, inc photos are clean but slightly loose. Text block edges browned.
