Inscribed by the author on front free endpaper: 'To my good friend Capt. Ernie Smith a real guy with real guts that put a hole in the Pacific. Yours internally, Bert Green, 1929.' First edition (first printing). A very good copy in color illustrated paper over board covers with lettering in orange. Mild edge and corner wear. With 2 dust jackets: one repeating the cover illustration with internal clear tape repair along closed tear; the second, price-clipped, in illustrated bright orange with spine faded, mild edge wear and small chips at spine top edge.
