About the Author

Author, Wayne Short, pioneered in Alaska shortly after World War II, and is the great nephew of Luke Short. Three previous books, The Cheechakoes, This Raw Land, and Albie, & Billy the Sky Pilot, are of he and his family's adventures on the Last Frontier. He has retired from commercial fishing and after some years in Chapala, Mexico now resides near Tombstone, Arizona.
