8vo, Abt fine in Abt fine box, 1/500 SIGNED by Beauvoir & further SIGNED by Nelson Algren, her lover & one of the not so anonymous characters in this Roman a Clef . With a photo,by Ted Joans, of Algren SIGNING the book for me at a reading at NYU. We were both of course very late and missed the reading, but Algren was sitting at a table SIGNING books. Ted insisted I get Algren to SIGN mine, so shamefaced as ever I did. Prob. one of the few if not only copy with both their signatures. Algren died a week later.Hfrench).
