Light brown cloth boards with gilt blocked titles to spine, 220 x 145 mm approx. xxviii + 276 pp. Portrait frontis to both works + 6 line maps as called for. First Edition 1968 Inscribed and signed by the Editor David Chandler in blue ink to the title page. Please see our images of the actual book offered for sale for further details and condition. Very Good / Fair (Book - author insc. as above, grease spot to a number of successive pages - in diminishing size approx 8 leaves. One corner turned. Slight musty odour from long term storage- not offensive but worthy of mention. Dust Jacket- heavy shelf rubbing with chips to laminate - mainly to top edges and two significant tears to bottom front panel, publisher replacement price label over original cover price. In a removable proprietary protective sleeve. No other notable defects to book or jacket).
