London: Whittaker and co, 1835, 1839. First editions, lacking vol. 1, which was done in 1834 and not illustrated by Cruikshank, but by W. Heath. These two are each inscribed "To Kate Drinker from her Affte. friend, the Author." Drinker was Catharine Janvier's maiden name. Small 8vo, purple cloth, paper labels on spines; vol.2: iv + 264pp. with 5 plates, vol.3: viii + 249pp. with 6 plates. Spine missing on vol.2, cloth quite worn and beginning to split at crown of vol.3. Slight foxing at prelims. and plates. As is. Seller Inventory # 33334
