Maroon ribbed cloth fading to foredge and near spine, gilt titles, some foxing to endpapers, half title and title pages Ayr Carnegie Library bookplate with cancel stamp inside front board and two small circular rubber stamps on half and title pages, no others inside or on the final blank. Tall slim small quarto. *Rare. **Sir Thomas Oliver, FRSE (1853?1942) was a Scottish physician and expert on industrial hygiene, particularly in the mining industry and antimony workers. He was President of the College of Medicine 1926 to 1934 and President of the Royal Institute of Public Health and Hygiene from 1937 to 1942. Seller Inventory # 7917

We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.
