First edition, first printing. Signed, dated (1999) and inscribed in black ink on the first page to an important figure in contemporary photography (please inquire): "To [name], with best wishes, M. Modic." Soft cover. Photographically illustrated matte laminated wrappers with French folds. Photographs by Marko Modic. Text (in Slovenian and English) by Iztok Osojnik and Joey Skaggs. Includes an illustrated list of plates, biographies on the contributors and an exhibition history. Designed by Barbara Stupica. Unpaginated (200 pp., including 2 two-page gatefolds), with 173 four-color plates beautifully printed in Slovenia by Gorenjski from color separations by Alten. 10-5/8 x 7-7/8 inches. Published on the occasion of a 1998 exhibition at Mestna Gallery, Ljubljana, Slovenia and Ikona Photo Gallery, Venice, Italy. Fine. Extreme close-up photographs of aluminum suggest unfamiliar textures and alchemical transformations. Signed by Author.
