In publisher's near fine dust jacket, light shelf wear, retail price on front flap. Inscribed on the second free endpaper: "For Don Hewitt and Marilyn Berger, from their friend, Robert Caro. With true admiration for their own achievements. April 3, 2002." Don Hewitt (1922-2009) was the creator of 60 Minutes on CBS Television. His show won eight Emmy Awards and became the longest-running prime-time broadcast on American television. His wife, Marilyn Berger, was also a journalist, working for the New York Times and the Washington Post.
