8vo., 374pp. Sharp Stated First Edition. Bound in red cloth with lettering in gilt on front board and spine. The Former FBI Director's treatise on dealing with Communism in America. Square, tight and clean interior pages. Some softness and light rubbing to spine ends. Some age soiling to top of text block. Some spotting to paste-downs and long gift inscription on front end-paper. Attractive unclipped dust-jacket, ($5.00), has a small a small chip to the top rear edges. Some moderate edge-wear. and light soiling. Still fresh and bright with no tears or creasing. Signed and dated by Hoover in the year of publication on the top of the front end-paper, above the gift inscription. A solid collectable copy at a great price.
