Text block has a dark green top stain. Includes a color frontispiece, 14 black-and-white illustrations and photos on plates, and a map. This book shares Matthew C. Field s 1839 travel journal in which he recorded his impressions of the Santa Fe Trail and the settlements of New Mexico in iambic-pentameter.
