A presentation copy, inscribed by the author on the title page to celebrated British photographer Dorothy Bohm: "To Dorothy Bohm with thanks for a wonderful afternoon and in admiration, Jill Lloyd. 17/1/08". 4to. 84pp. Red cloth lettered in gold at the spine and upper board. Lavishly illustrated throughout with scores and scores of reproductions, predominantly in colour and including many full-page presentations. A fine copy in fine dust wrapper. A scholarly study of Beckmann's celebrated painting, created in 1938 just after he fled Nazi Germany for Amsterdam.
