On the front paste-down Prudence Gruelle has drawn a charming little blond girl with rosy cheeks and wearing a black hat and a red dress. Sitting down, she is holding a large book which is opened and has a ribbon woven through the boards which state: "This is Margaret's book." A lovely drawing with the signed presentation to Margaret as well. A good only copy in woven grey cloth which is very worn and flecked. The cloth is durable Gregg textbook stock with a darkened and flecked spine stamped brightly in black. The front boards have bright black stamping and a faded drawing of a child holding a fishing pole and a little basket. The hinges are very tight, revealing the sewn signatures. An unusual book with the author's personalized drawing and inscription. First Edition with "First Printing" on the copyright page. Seller Inventory # 6989
